ProfileLauncher

Privacy policy

This policy explains what information ProfileLauncher uses, why we need it, who receives it and how you can control it. It covers your account and the business websites we host. We do not sell your personal information.

Your Google listing stays unchanged

We read business information to provide your website. Editing, publishing or unpublishing that website does not edit your Google Business Profile. Google’s business permission is broader than the read operations we use. Authorization requests obtain or refresh access, and disconnecting or deleting your account revokes that access. Our business-customer processing terms cover website personal data we process on your instructions.

Who is responsible

Cloud Garden Ltd is responsible for personal information used to operate your ProfileLauncher account, billing relationship and service security. Business owners remain responsible for the content they choose to publish and the personal information they collect through their own linked services. Contact support@profilelauncher.com about this notice or your information.

Why we process information

We use account and service information to perform our contract with you, or take steps you request before entering a contract. We rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the service, investigate misuse and respond to business enquiries, taking account of your rights. We process information where necessary to meet legal obligations. Connecting Google grants technical access to the selected account; you may disconnect it at any time.

Your account

Google sign-in provides your name, email address, profile picture and account identifier. We use these to identify your account and show your profile. A separate connection lets us access the Google Business Profiles you manage.

Your business website

We fetch business details, opening hours, services, available menus, photos, reviews and posts to create and maintain your website. A draft can be viewed by anyone with its private preview link. Publishing makes its content public. Website edits are stored separately and do not change your Google listing.

Storage and retention

Account and website data are stored in Convex. Google connection tokens are encrypted before storage. Google business content in our application cache expires 29 days after it was fetched and is removed by a scheduled cleanup. Successful refreshes replace it with newly fetched content; failures do not extend its deadline. This application-cache deadline is not a guarantee of deletion from every provider backup. Account details and your own edits remain while you use the service.

Payments and other providers

Stripe handles checkout, payment details and subscriptions. We store billing references and subscription status, not card numbers. Google receives requests when you sign in, connect a profile, load Google-hosted photos or open an embedded map. Our hosting and database providers process data to operate the service.

Cookies

We use an essential, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in and short-lived cookies to secure Google authorization. Sessions expire after 30 days without activity and at most 90 days after sign-in.

Disconnecting and deleting

You can disconnect Google in the app, which removes the connection and cached business content and takes affected websites offline. Subscription cancellation is managed separately. Delete account removes your account content and websites and requests subscription cancellation. External cleanup is retried if a provider is temporarily unavailable. Minimal deletion markers prevent old background work from restoring removed data. Stripe may retain financial records separately.

Google data use

We use connected Google data to provide the website features you request. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. Contact support to ask about access, correction or deletion of your information.

Sources and recipients

Information comes from you, the Google accounts and business profiles you authorize, and service operation. Business content may include reviewer names, review text and photos provided by Google. Published content can be seen by website visitors. Netlify hosts the applications, Convex stores application records, and Stripe processes payments. These providers and Google may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Netlify and Convex publish data-processing terms incorporating contractual safeguards for restricted UK transfers. Stripe publishes its own processing and international-transfer terms and also acts independently for purposes such as fraud prevention and legal obligations. You can request information about applicable safeguards at support@profilelauncher.com.

Other retention

Account information and your own website edits remain until account deletion, subject to any information needed for legal obligations or resolving disputes. Billing records held by Stripe follow its retention requirements. Minimal deletion markers are retained to prevent delayed work from recreating deleted information. Hosting and security logs are subject to provider retention settings and are not intended as a store of Google business content. Provider backup and archival copies may remain after deletion from the active database and follow the provider’s retention schedule.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email support@profilelauncher.com; we may need to verify your identity. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk or your local data-protection authority. We do not use your personal information for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

Changes

We will update this notice when our processing changes and provide additional notice where appropriate. Check the date above for the current version.
